Usage

• Fill the beaker until the downstem slits are just submerged; overfilling increases drag and can push water towards the neck.
• Place the piece on a flat, stable surface, away from shelf or counter edges; it is heavy and stable, but a fall from height can still break glass.
• Use only correct 18 mm downstems and 14 mm bowls; forcing mismatched joints can chip or crack the ground-glass connections.
• Recommend steady, controlled pulls so the water and beaker volume can do the cooling work rather than users “chugging” the piece.

Care & Maintenance

• Allow the glass to cool naturally before cleaning; avoid sudden hot–cold changes that could stress the material.
• For everyday care, empty the old water and rinse with warm water after use.
• For deeper cleaning, soak with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt (or a glass-safe cleaner), shake gently, and rinse thoroughly.
• On the sandblast relief Square area, avoid aggressive scrubbing with abrasive pads; rely on soaking and a soft cloth so the frosted background and raised squares stay crisp.
