The EG Maze Beaker (EG-08) is a 14-inch, 7 mm thick borosilicate beaker designed as a long-lasting, premium option for everyday use. At around 990 g, it has real weight and a very stable footprint on the counter.
The tube features EG’s “Maze” pattern in sandblast relief – the background is frosted while the maze lines stand out in clearer, raised glass. This gives the beaker a three-dimensional, tactile finish that looks and feels far more premium than printed graphics or simple etching. Each piece is supplied with an 18 mm downstem and 14 mm bowl, ready to sell as a complete set.

Usage & Care Recommendations
Usage
- Fill the beaker until the downstem slits are just submerged; overfilling increases drag and can push water up the neck.
- Place the piece on a flat, stable surface, away from shelf or counter edges; it is heavy and stable, but a fall from height will still break glass.
- Use only correct 18 mm downstems and 14 mm bowls; forcing mismatched joints can chip or crack the ground-glass seats.
- Recommend steady, controlled pulls so the beaker volume and water can handle the cooling efficiently.
Care & Maintenance
- Allow the glass to cool naturally before cleaning to avoid thermal shock.
- For routine cleaning, empty the used water and rinse with warm water after each session.
- For deeper cleaning, soak with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt (or a glass-safe cleaner), shake gently, then rinse thoroughly.
- On the sandblast relief Maze area, avoid aggressive scrubbing with abrasive pads; rely on soaking and a soft cloth to keep the frosted background and raised maze lines crisp.
- Let the beaker dry completely before returning it to display or repacking into cartons to prevent odour, water lines, and mineral spotting.
