The EG Diamond Beaker (EG-09) is a 14-inch, 7 mm thick borosilicate beaker designed as a long-term, premium daily piece for smoke shops and distributors. At around 990 g, it feels heavy and solid in the hand, with a thick base that sits securely on most counters and shelves.
The tube features EG’s “Diamond” pattern in sandblast relief – the background is frosted while the diamond motifs stand out in clearer, raised glass. This three-dimensional finish looks far more premium than printed graphics and gives the tube a satisfying texture and grip. Each beaker is supplied with an 18 mm downstem and 14 mm bowl, so it can be sold immediately as a complete set.
Benefits for Retail Clients
- Clear upgrade over basic beakers
Simple staff script:
“14″, 7 mm Diamond Beaker with sandblast relief tube, 18/14 mm set-up, in multiple colors.”
Positions it clearly above generic clear or thin-wall beakers. - High perceived value, easy to use
Customers get a familiar beaker function plus thicker glass and detailed relief artwork—no need for a long explanation like with complex recyclers. - Strong series presentation
Fits perfectly into an “EG 7 mm Sandblasted Collection” alongside Symbols, Triangle, Square, Maze, Skull Flower, Slyme Leaf, etc., giving you a coherent wall or catalogue story. - Reliable for daily use
7 mm walls and a thick base handle everyday handling better than budget glass, helping reduce breakage complaints and returns. - Good for independents and chains
Clean spec, recognisable Diamond pattern, and multiple colorways make it straightforward to standardise across different stores and B2B customers.
Usage & Care Recommendations
Usage
- Fill the beaker until the downstem slits are just submerged; overfilling increases drag and can push water up towards the neck.
- Place the piece on a flat, stable surface, away from the shelf or counter edges. It is stable and heavy, but a fall from a height can still break glass.
- Use only correct 18 mm downstems and 14 mm bowls; forcing mismatched joints can chip or crack the ground-glass sections.
- Recommend steady, controlled pulls so the beaker volume and water can take care of the cooling instead of users “chugging” the piece.
Care & Maintenance
- Allow the glass to cool naturally before cleaning; avoid sudden temperature changes that can stress the material.
- For daily care, empty the old water and rinse with warm water after use.
- For deeper cleaning, soak with isopropyl alcohol and coarse salt (or a glass-safe cleaner), shake gently, then rinse thoroughly until no residue remains.
- On the sandblast relief Diamond area, avoid harsh scrubbing with abrasive pads; rely on soaking and a soft cloth so the frosted background and raised diamonds stay sharp and clean.
- Let the beaker dry completely before returning it to display or packing it into cartons to prevent odour, water lines, and mineral spotting.
